About wpShadow
Free website checks inside your WordPress dashboard. Five free checks you run yourself, in plain language. They report and you decide.
Who makes it
wpShadow is made and run by Christopher Ross in Fort Erie, Ontario. I have built on the web since 1996 and worked in WordPress since 2007, and I am completing an MA in Learning and Technology at Royal Roads University. I have also taught WordPress at Sheridan College and York University, and spoken at WordCamps for years. My consulting and training practice is at thisismyurl.com.
What it is
wpShadow is a WordPress plugin that runs five checks from your dashboard: titles and descriptions, broken links, page speed, accessibility and security. You pick a page, press Run, and read what to fix first. It reports and you decide. The plugin is free and GPL licensed. The download page has the current version and the file's checksum.
What it sends
Nothing is sent when you install or activate it. When you press Run, your site address and the plugin and WordPress versions go to Shadow Steward, which runs the checks. Pages and results are not stored. The privacy page has the full list.
