WPShadow
A WordPress diagnostics plugin, free

See what is actually wrong with your WordPress site, before it costs you

WPShadow runs 230 checks inside your own WordPress install and writes each finding up in plain language with a clear next step. No account, nothing uploaded anywhere. You install it, run a scan, and read what is healthy and what needs attention.

What a scan covers

Every finding says what it checked, what it found, and why it matters, in language a site owner can act on without a developer beside them. The 230 diagnostics are grouped into eleven categories so you can read the parts that matter and skip the rest.

  • Accessibility
  • Performance
  • Security
  • SEO
  • Code quality
  • Database health
  • Design
  • Monitoring
  • Settings
  • WordPress health
  • Workflows

Fixes are opt-in, and reversible

Where a finding has a fix, WPShadow offers a treatment. Lower-risk treatments apply with one click and keep an undo. Higher-risk changes are review-first: it shows the exact change before writing anything and waits for your approval. It never changes a live site on its own.

Scans run when you click the button, or on an optional schedule if you would rather it check in by itself.

Who it is for

The person who owns or runs a WordPress site and wants to know its real condition without hiring that out every time. If you can find your way around the dashboard, you can read a WPShadow report. People who maintain sites for a living use it as a first-pass triage before quoting a job; it surfaces in ten minutes what used to take an afternoon.

WPShadow is live and in public beta. The download and the full write-up are on the plugin page.
